Early this morning, I took a walk in the western part of the city where I had never been before. A couple of years ago, someone told me about the vegetable gardens in a place where there used to be a railroad . --I didn't even know there used to be a railroad there, which was abolished decades ago.-- Somehow, I've been interested with the railroad-turned-vegetable gardens. Finally, I had an opportunity to visit it today.
It was about 45-minute walk from my house. I saw some people working on their gardens before 6:00 a.m.
Here are some of the photos I took today:
The Spotted bellflower is called 蛍袋(hotaru-bukuro) in Japanese, which literally means 'firefly bag.' It is said that children put fireflies in these flowers long time ago.
